Ben Brafman, MS, LMHC, CAP is Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer of SBMHC. In Georgia, his leadership helps ensure SBMHC’s clinical direction reflects the same high standards families expect when seeking structured, evidence-informed treatment and support.

Ben has founded a multitude of programs and has played a hands-on role in shaping how clinical services are designed, staffed, and managed. He was Founder, President and CEO of Destination Hope, a treatment center specializing in substance abuse and mental health disorders, established in 2007. Much of Ben’s program-development work has been rooted in the South Florida area, where he developed several programs and was instrumental in teaching other professionals how to effectively manage their clinical programs. That experience supports the way SBMHC approaches care for individuals and families looking for help in Georgia, especially when consistency, structure, and strong clinical oversight matter most.

He is actively involved in several community services programs and has helped families all over the world reclaim mental wellness. As a published author in the area of dual-diagnosis and behavioral health, Ben is also a leading expert in family issues related to mental illness and its impact on the system of family. He has positively influenced thousands of families throughout his career, including those seeking guidance, stability, and a clearer path forward while navigating treatment decisions in Georgia.
